User Data Deletion
Summary
Risos AI (PT Riset Sinergi Sosial) grants every user the full right to delete their account and all associated data, in compliance with Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP No. 27/2022) and the European GDPR. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
How to Delete Your Account
Option A — Self-Service
- Log in to your account at https://risos.ai
- Open Settings (click avatar top-right → "Settings")
- Scroll to the bottom of the page, to the "Danger Zone" section
- Click "Delete My Account"
- In the confirmation dialog, type exactly "HAPUS AKUN SAYA"
- Your account + all associated data are permanently deleted instantly, and you are logged out automatically
Option B — Email Request
If you cannot log in (e.g., you lost access to the linked number/account), submit a request to the following email:
admin@risos.co.id
Subject: "Account Deletion Request — [your identifier]"
Include your account identifier (registered WhatsApp number / Telegram username / Google email) for ownership verification. Our team will process the request within 3 business days maximum.
What Gets Deleted?
Account deletion permanently removes all of the following:
- User profile (name, photo, theme/language/notification preferences)
- Analysis history (Quantitative & Qualitative/QDA)
- Netnography corpus (social media scrape results) & uploaded documents (PDF, DOCX, Excel)
- AI chat history
- Research journey, milestones, research teams, & consultation sessions
- Subscription plan & remaining AI token quota (non-refundable)
- Linked identities (connected Google / WhatsApp / Telegram accounts)
- Scraper bot credentials you registered (stored AES-256-GCM encrypted, purged)
Data That Cannot Be Deleted
Based on Indonesian regulations (UU PDP Article 32) and operational requirements:
- Security audit logs — retained 90 days for incident investigation (no personal content, only timestamp + IP address)
- Database backups — daily backup with 30-day retention; your data automatically disappears from backups 30 days after account deletion
- Financial transaction records — anonymized (PII removed, only amount + date kept for tax audit) for 10 years per Indonesia's DJP (Tax Directorate) regulation

Your Rights
Per UU PDP No. 27/2022 and GDPR, you have the right to:
- Right to Access — request a copy of all your data
- Right to Rectification — correct inaccurate data (via Settings)
- Right to Erasure — delete your account (guide above)
- Right to Portability — request your data in machine-readable format
- Right to Object — reject data processing for specific purposes
